The change to electrical mobility has led to much more complex thermal management systems to serve the demands of the drive train, battery, and cabin while maintaining driving range. The thermal management system is a key value driver for EVs as well on the performance as on the cost side. No wonder, that functional integration gives thermoplastic materials a boost. Charging and other service times increase the operating time from 3000 hrs. for ICEs to up to 30.000 hrs. requested by some OEMs. Polyamides are materials with proven long-term performance and therefore still an excellent choice. Long-term data, computational methods, and durable grades enable innovative solutions.

During the session, you will discover:

  • Heightened operational demands for BEV thermal management, requiring systems that support lifespans up to 30,000 hours
  • In what ways thermoplastics, especially polyamides, enable functional integration and reliability across diverse temperature needs
  • How data-driven innovation and advanced computational tools are powering durable, efficient thermal management solutions for modern EVs
