As the demand for electrified mobility and energy storage solutions grows, Battery Thermal Management Systems are evolving to meet increasingly complex challenges. This presentation explores the critical obstacles BTMS faces — including managing higher energy densities, overcoming high heat flux issues, and ensuring the durability and reliability of batteries in demanding environments. At the same time, the presentation highlights emerging trends, such as integrating smart, predictive technologies and the push for sustainable, maintainable battery solutions in line with the EU’s Green Deal and other regulatory frameworks. By addressing both thermal challenges and trust concerns in battery performance, we can pave the way for more efficient, resilient, and future-proof systems that foster confidence in electrified propulsion technologies.
